Hello,
I am David Anderson, I have a wide verity of equine knowledge and experience. I am a graduate of MSU-Moorhead 08′ and North Dakota State University (NDSU) 10′ in Fargo, ND. While at MSU-Moorhead I received a bachelor of science degree in exercise science and a minor in coaching. At NDSU I received a bachelor of science degree in equine studies and a minor in therapeutic horsemanship. During my time at NDSU I took many horse related classes like anatomy, physiology, colt starting, horsemanship, judging, and an internship with John Hovde in Williston, ND to name a few classes. While working on the ranch for my internship, I learned a wide verity of horse knowledge including colt starting, lesson, training, clinic, cow work, and other ranch work. While at NDSU I also participated in the NDSU horseman’s association helping put on shows, clinics, and camps. After graduating from NDSU I became professional association or Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) certified instructor in June of 2011 and started my own business. I have also worked and volunteered at Riding On Angles Wings (ROAW) near Felton, MN a PATH certified center. During the years of 2008-2011 working with many different types of riders. I have worked with other riding programs after working with ROAW helping them to get their programs started. I was also a three year volunteer coach of the Morris area FFA equine judging team. I became a certified North Dakota 4-H judge in 2015. I have won many high point awards competing in gaming events and pleasure events. Winning many year end awards as a member of the Waska Riders Saddle Club in Glenwood, MN and the Shamrock Heist saddle club in Benson, MN. I have been the president of the Waska Riders saddle club the years of 13′ and 15′. I have been on the education committee since 2010.
When I’m not working with horses I work at Prairie Community Services (PCS), working with many different people.
I am always trying to learn something new whether its working with troubled youth or troubled horses. There are a lot of similarities. I hope I can teach you something new and many you can teach me something as well.
